Brief info

Chris Heisey a Central Pennsylvania native, grew up in Mount Joy. He attended Donegal High School where he played baseball and basketball. After graduation, Chris attended Messiah College where he pursued a degree in elementary education. He played three years as an outfielder on Messiah’s baseball team where he set numerous batting records including:
• Highest career batting average - .405
• Most total bases – 294
• Most home runs – 23
• Most extra base hits - 71

Following his junior year in college, Chris was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 17th round of the 2006 Major League Baseball (MLB) draft. After competing for nearly four years in the minor leagues, in a variety of cities across the county, he got the “call up” to the majors. Chris made his major league debut on May 3, 2010. Over the course of eight seasons, he played for the Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals. As a utility outfielder, he is well versed in the fundamentals of baseball and the awareness of successfully playing the game.

Chris proclaims his greatest major league accomplishments include:
• Minor league player of the year – 2009
• Led the MLB in pinch hit home runs – 2010
• Hitting three home runs in a game against the New York Yankees - 2011
• Hit a walk-off home run for the Nationals in the 16th inning against the Minnesota Twins – 2016

Today, Chris enjoys sharing his knowledge of baseball with children. He is married to his college sweetheart, Lisa and they live in the Northern York school district with their three sons – Caden, Colton and Carson.
